Information architecture (IA) is the process of organizing online information in a manner that is clear and meaningful and meets the needs of your website users. Well-developed information architecture results in a more positive user experience. When your site is easy to navigate, users spend less time looking for information and more time actually working with the information they want. When your site is poorly designed, your employees waste time and money searching for information, while clients may turn off a site altogether.

These are courses aimed primarily at those working with online content, either for the Web or for electronic content. The course is appropriate for content managers, information professionals, and Web designers.

In many cases, people who take the course are already doing the work of an IA, but have never been taught the fundamentals of the discipline. These courses aim to provide the background knowledge and methods need to work as a successful Information Architect.
